Transforming You
"We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
As you fill all the roles in your life—employee, daughter, friend, mom, wife—do you forget what you look like? Every day, God changes you into what he wants you to look like, to be, to do. He is TRANSFORMING YOU into his likeness. It's not always easy, but the end result is glorious and beautiful.

Breakout Session 1

A. Raising a Christ-Centered Child in a Me-Centered World by Rhoda Wolle
Children are bombarded by messages telling them that they deserve to have whatever they want; many children rarely hear the word “No”. As parents this makes our job much more challenging when children move toward an attitude of entitlement. With a deluge of mass media constantly trying to develop your child’s sense of identity based on "stuff", it can be difficult to help our children understand what their true identity is. So what do we do? How do we set healthy boundaries and build a trusting relationship with our children while also teaching them the blessing that comes in the package of “no”?
This interactive seminar walks parents and teachers through the minefield of raising a resilient, strong and Christ-centered child amid today’s “Yes” culture.  In addition, we will address the subject of Peer Pressure and what we can do to encourage and enable youth to make Christ-centered decisions.

B. Lean on me by Linda Buxa
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
Based on God's encouragement and example, how you can be a friend to others—and allow others to be a friend to you.

Breakout Session 2

A. From Women of the Night to Women of the Light by Linda Buxa
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:30)
Studying Rahab, Gomer, and the sinful woman in Luke 7, we'll see how God's faithfulness transforms his unfaithful people, how his grace transforms us.

B. Being Content With Your Vessel by Rhoda Wolle
God likes variety! Consider the flowers. He could have designed one kind/color of flower, but he chose to design a plethora of flowers in a spectrum of colors. The same holds true for people. Each of us is created uniquely for His purposes. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  This interactive workshop will focus on understanding our personal gifts and abilities and discussing ways to find contentment as we use our unique gifts to serve our Savior and the people He places around us?
