Women's Bible Study Update

The Women's Bible Study group is currently studying The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller. Some of you may remember our guest preacher on March 17, Pastor Becker, mentioning the book in his sermon. We are using a supplement written by Pastor Becker to go with the study. The book shows us a side of the parable "The Prodigal Son" that we don't always see in our reading of this part of scripture. We hope you will consider coming to join us.
Our April study will be on the second Monday of the month, April 8th. Our May and June studies will once again be held on the first Monday of each month. The study is held at Val Klika's with supper at 6:00 p.m. and Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

The Prodigal God

Starting Monday, March 4th we will begin our Bible study on the book, The Prodigal God. This Bible study takes a very familiar parable, The Prodigal Son, and helps us to see a side to it that we may not have seen in the past. I am able to pick up copies of the book for $14.00. If you would like me to purchase a copy for you, please let me know by Weds., as I have them reserved. It would be possible for 2 people to share one book if that makes it easier for you to join us.
Hope to see you at Val Klika's home at 6:00 p.m. for supper and 6:30 p.m. for our study!

Thursday Mornings for Moms

Available on Thursday mornings?  Please join us for Thursday Mornings For Moms.

Here is our Schedule

8:15am The church is open for moms to visit and their toddlers to play

9:00am Moms have a half hour discussion on a parenting topic

9:30am Family Bible Circle (check this link to for our current Bible Study topic)

10:30am Moms can continue to chat and kids can play until 11:15 when it's time to leave for pickup at the pre-school across the street

You can come for any part of our Thursday Mornings for Moms and leave whenever you'd like!

You do not need to be a mom to attend. We emphasize the MOMS part because so many moms of small children find it difficult to participate in traditional Bible Classes and church fellowship opportunities. The Bible Class is for everyone who understands that there will be distractions and interruptions because of the babies and toddlers.

Family Bible Circle - Book of Romans study begins 2/21/13

You Are Invited!

On February 21 we will begin a Bible Study series on the book of Romans.  We meet from 9:30 to 10:30 on Thursday mornings in Pilgrim Lutheran Church’s basement. Coffee and Tea are provided.

Bring your Bible.  Bring your friends.

Family Bible Circle is an adult Bible study group. We encourage those with babies and small children to bring them along. You can keep your children with you or let them go to our play area in your view.  Family Bible Circle is part of Pilgrim's Thursday Mornings for Moms.

Parenting Group

At the Thursday morning parenting group we discussed an article called "Deal With Your Child's Inappropriate Behavior" at http://m.crosswalk.com/family/parenting/kids/deal-with-your-childs-inappropriate-behavior-506352.html .  We all agreed with the advice, but of course could think of numerous times when we failed to follow it.
